To head up a Final Fantasy game some special people need to be chosen. To create a world big enough to house thousands of people and cater for 100's of hours of gameplay needs something extra special. Below are the core of the development team for Final Fantasy 14. As you can see they have worked on previous Final Fantasies, including some of the exceptionally classic titles.

As of the 10th December 2010, a change of management was announced as part of an An Important Announcement for FINAL FANTASY XIV Fans. It is hoped that the new direction that the new management will take the game in will be more favourable to the fans, in contrast to the ill-received first iteration.
